Zhang Jiang comes up with new concepts, advances systematic construction of Chinese Hermeneutics, and makes new critiques of contemporary cultural reality in his paper ″On Public Hermeneutics″. This evolution is a mark of perfection of Public Hermeneutics and a new development of Chinese Hermeneutics. Zhang Jiang’ s Public Hermeneutics contains dialectical tensions, mainly between humanity and scientific nature, irrationality and rationality, as well as the individual and the public, which reveals its validity, tolerance and potentials of interpretation. However, the Public Hermeneutics shows a lot of crevices which should be avoided in the future.
