Rashomon and Three Perspectives on Science

Abstract

The movie “Rashomon” presents a metaphor of multi-construction of facts. Perspectives on science or social images of science are similar products of social construction. They are variable. Three of them can be identified and the tension among the three is considered a kind of healthy power of a democratic society.
