Using data envelopment analysis(DEA), this paper measures the technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of 12 rural commercial banks over 2009-2013.The results show that technical efficiency and scale efficiency of county-level rural commercial banks are generally higher than provincial rural commercial banks. Based on this, this paper develops regression on the influencing factors of rural commercial banks by using the panel data model. It concludes that the asset size, capital adequacy ratio, loan-to-deposit ratio and equity ratio of the top ten shareholders represent a significant impact on the efficiency of rural commercial banks.
