Mixture designs are applied in industry, agriculture, science experiments and medicine, which attract the attention of many researchers. With deep research for mixture experiment, we often need to analyze the model with qualitative factors. This paper considers mixture model with the qualitative factor and its optimal designs. We obtain the necessary and sufficient condition of the D-optimal and A-optimal designs for the model, then we can obtain the optimal designs for mixture model with qualitative factor.
